Pictet-ReGeneration Launch Webcast

Pictet-ReGeneration Launch Webcast
10am GMT - 31st January 2023

Biodiversity is in rapid decline1, largely caused by over-consumption of the world's natural resources. We believe investors have a role to play in creating the conditions for nature to regenerate itself by moving to a regenerative economy.

What is a regenerative economy?

A regenerative economy entails a healthy environmental and social system. In practice, it has three characteristics - it is circular, it has a neutral/positive impact on biodiversity, and it encourages social and economic inclusion.

Introducing Pictet-ReGeneration

Pictet-ReGeneration is a new concentrated global equity strategy which invests in companies helping us to consume fewer natural resources (and more sustainably), produce more renewable resources, repurpose products or extend their useful lives, and develop a more circular economy.

At the same time, we seek to invest in companies with products and services that offer greater social and economic inclusion and help to create more resilient societies which are therefore better able to address the planetary emergency.

Why invest?

We believe that companies whose products and services contribute the most in the transition to a regenerative economy will benefit from superior growth over the coming decades.

The strategy can be used as a growth engine within a global equity allocation for investors who also want to have a positive impact.

Thematic franchise and team

At Pictet Asset Management we are the pioneers of thematic environmental investing. The strategy builds on our 20+ year track record in sustainable investing and experience applying the Planetary Boundaries framework, by introducing the Doughnut Economics2 framework and incorporating the Environmentally Extended Input-Output Life Cycle Assessment (EEIO-LCA) model3

Senior Investment Manager for the strategy, Gabriel Micheli, has 16 years' experience managing thematic environmental equities at Pictet Asset Management. Also supporting the strategy are Claire Chamberlin, Investment Manager, and Viktoras Kulionis, Senior Environmental Economist & Investment Manager4
