Brooks Macdonald: European politics: could 'Nexit' follow Brexit?

Like the UK, the Netherlands is a relatively small nation that grew wealthy as a result of centuries of international business. Although the country has generally held a limited role on the global stage in recent times, it is set to dominate the financial press in the coming weeks as its 15 March general election approaches. This will be heavily watched for signs that populist politics is proliferating on the Continent, as a Netherlands secession, or ‘Nexit’, may push the European Union (EU) closer to a wider break up.
