Reinventing the way business is conducted online

There is no denying the advantages of attending a trade exhibition or event.  It’s a fantastic way to meet suppliers, providers and support services, all under one roof. You can hear about product and services straight from the horse’s mouth, listen to the industry’s leaders debating hot topics, network with new contacts and reacquaint with old ones.

However, as useful as these events are, the out-of-office time needed, plus travel and potential overnight accommodation costs, can put advisers and paraplanners off from attending.

Virtual trade shows manage to overcome all of the above, cost free from the comfort of your own desk and are one of the most recent trends affecting the exhibition industry. Essentially, a virtual trade show is the same as a traditional trade show, but the entire event is based online.

The online venue is even designed to look like a convention center, complete with lobby, lounge and exhibition hall featuring many different companies' booths.

Benefits of Virtual Trade Shows

They are interactive

Just because you're not there in person doesn't mean you don't get to interact with other attendees. Virtual trade show technology allows attendees to visit stands, attend seminars and keynote speeches, and chat to other attendees. You can also swap electronic business cards with a keystroke and save that data instantly into your database.

They are as engaging as a social networks

Attendees spend on average 4 hours on the platform during live events - so you can dip in and out of the event throughout the day and around your other work commitments.

750 business cards exchanged per hour

Average of 8,000 clicks on content per event

6,000 chat conversations per 1,000 people

Anywhere, anytime

People can attend virtual events from anywhere in the world, and then download the content later. All you need in order to attend is a connected device and decent Internet connection.

With this in mind Panacea Adviser are delighted to bring you the first UK FREE virtual event for financial advisers and paraplanners.

Retirement Choices 2015 - a virtual conference is coming to you on 25th February 2016

Where you can go during the event:

The Auditorium

Where you can hear and watch panel debates, interviews and presentations about subjects relevant to your business from key names in the industry via videos, webinars and text chats. Many of which are CPD accredited.

Live text debates will take place after some of the sessions, giving you the chance to put your questions to the experts and speakers to get real-time answers – ideal for people who shy away from putting their hand up and raising a point in front of an audience.

The Exhibition Hall

Navigate your way around the hall and click to meet a range of product providers and investment firms at their virtual stands. Using an online chat facility or Skype, you will be able to interact with them to hear about their latest developments and download any brochures and sales resources. There’s no need to book appointments, either, because exhibitors will be logged on and available to speak to you from 9.30am to 5.30pm throughout the day.

The networking lounge

Here you can catch up with peers via live text chats. You’ll be able to exchange electronic business cards and get advice from others on how to enhance and position your business.

Avatar, a glimpse into the future

Last Thursday morning I created my own avatar but I was neither blue, nor visiting Pandora and falling for an ex-marine. I was visiting a City conference centre smartly dressed with perfectly coiffed hair and collecting financial product literature courtesy of Panacea Adviser, which is claiming the UK’s first virtual financial services conference.
